Documentation Process

 

Initial Meeting

  • Project Overview
    Things to discuss are as follows......
    • -Is it a new build?

    • -Is it an extension?
      -Is it a renovation?
    • -What is the budget?
    • -Are there any site Constraints?

    We will gather information from you that is necessary to begin your design.
    In effect we will discuss your lifestyle requirements. This may include how many children you have and what ages they are. We will also discuss the aesthetics of your project.

    Design

  • At this stage we
    will be looking at .....
    • -Obtaining the appropriate surveys from a surveyor


    • -Investigating Council requirements as well as site constraints

    • -Arranging the general layout of spaces and rooms taking into account site -Defining Constraints and lifestyle requirements
 
  • Design Development

    Based on the results of your Initial Design we will develop the design toward a final plan which will include an elevation as well as a site plan.
    These drawings will be at the stage where you will be able to visualise thge shape and volumne of the design concepr. Of course this design will continually change until it is refined and fine tuned.

  • Resource Consent
    & Building Consent Drawings

    Building Consents This is the last stage of the design process. We will present you with your final set of drawings.
    Elevations and site plans are prepared for Council. This set of documents contains suffient information about the project from the Architect and other consultants(if required) to give to your builder to obtain an approx price on the overall build. A tender det of drawing would offer more of a consise set of documents to price from

    Our final set of documents would contain..
  • -Architectural set of drawing, fully co-ordinated with any consultant onboard

  • -Specification (& any appraisal certificates needed)
  • -H1 ( heating) calculations
    -Risk Matrix
  • -Bracing Schedule
