Web Design

Web design is a competitive industry and everyone must adapt to the changing times.

Website design can be quite a daunting and expensive business, especially if you have little or no experience with the internet. The number of website design companies in NZ is massive and the cost of website design can vary greatly depending on the type of design package you choose.
It is important to remember a poorly designed web site can often do more harm than good. We believe that every business deserves a good web site andthrough a balanced mix of high functionality and a modern graphic presentation, a web site is capable of accelerating your position in  your current marketplace.

If you are contemplating getting a Web Site built for your business, I have put together a set of Web Site guidelines. It is a simple checklist that will help you and help us to construct a site that works for you...............

It covers such things as....

What you need to bring us to get you started

  • Information on your competitors
  • Other Web Sites you have seen and liked
  • Other Web Sites you want your business to link to and vice versa
  • Images and media you wish to use

When builng a Web Site for a business we need to know the following.....

  • What are your design factors?

What style and tone will best represent your business or organization?
The answer to these questions plays a key role in determining what it will take to give your project the right "look and feel" for your visitors. Is it to have a business look? , a stylish look? an artistic look?, or and elegant look?

  • What type of audience do you wish to attract?.

Many people think that big is Better, not so. There are many sites on the Web today that are far to complicated and far too busy. Why create something so awkward that it will put people off returning to the site because it is too difficult to find information.

  • What type of menu navigation system should i use

Flash based navigation menus and advertising banners give a site more of the multimedia presence. They can be a very dynamic part of the navigation system on any site. They are however larger in size and tend load a little slower. This would be a draw back when a whole site is created using flash, but navigation menus are often smaller in size. Depending on the feel of the site you want created will determine what you will want to use. We can help you in the choice

  • Have you seen other businesses that have created a strong presence on the internet?

Often you look around at other businesses on-line just to see what and how they have utilized their marketing approach to attract costumers. The more sites you visit , the more ideas you get. Use these ideas and create a hybrid site from what you have seen.Web check list(click to download Web Site checklist) This is our web site check list, it will help you compile notes and web site links that you think may help market your business better.

    The design process................

    • Meeting: Depending on your needs, we may suggest a meeting before moving on to the next step. This is purely to set guidelines in place for both parties.

    • Design Proposal: We will then put together a design proposal and compile a quotation based on our meeting and information supplied.
